Scotland Pre Wedding Adventure Photography Shoot in Glencoe and Edinburgh
Winter Pre Wedding Photoshoot in Glencoe, Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands
If you are looking for a breathtaking location for a pre-wedding adventure photoshoot, look no further than Glencoe National Nature Reserve in Scotland. The Scottish Highlands are one of the most incredible locations in the world and is the perfect backdrop for epic pre wedding and elopement photographs with a beautiful variety of backdrops.
Jayden and Serena chose Glencoe and Edinburgh as Serena had studied in Edinburgh and wanted to get some winter pre wedding photographs there and combine this with some of Scotland's natural beauty by pairing the city architecture with the gorgeous Glencoe.
I met this lovely couple at Edinburgh airport after they flew in from Singapore and the snow was falling as we drove through the highlands towards Glencoe. We chose Fort William as a base for the first few days of this shoot as it is perfectly placed to access the Glencoe Nature Reserve and some of the other unique locations around Fort William, such as Glenfinnan, Loch Eli and many other beautiful spots.
I had put together a three-day itinerary that made the most of these locations. We spent the first two days of this adventure shoot exploring Glencoe, the Glenfinnan Monument, Fort William, and the surrounding area. We were lucky enough to have snow for this shoot, although the temperatures dipped at -13 degrees! Still, Serena was an absolute star and braved the cold, allowing us to create incredible images in this winter wonderland.
On the third day, we left Glencoe and the Highlands and drove back to Edinburgh to spend an afternoon in the city and took some photographs around Edinburgh Castle and Gardens, The Vennel Viewpoint, McEvan Hall and Law College finishing with a sunset shoot on Calton Hill with its stunning views over Edinburgh.
