London Wedding Photography in St Dunstan’s Church Stepney and Restaurant Ours Knightsbridge

Raphael and Erika's London wedding was a beautifully intimate day with an incredibly international vibe. Raphael is a Premier League footballer from Switzerland who currently plays in London and Erika is from California and the two families came together for this incredible wedding which took place in London.

The day started with bridal preparations at the Shoreditch House Hotel in East London before moving on to the stunning St Dunstan's Church in Stepney, which had been beautifully decorated by the talented Marianne from Sweet Pea Flowers, and the alter held a gorgeous Floral Wall from Petals in Love.

After the ceremony, the guests were taken to a private event held at Restaurant-Ours in the heard of London's Knightsbridge for a beautiful reception filled with incredible food, lots of emotion and plenty of dancing!

For such a blessed and talented couple, Raphael and Erika are two of the most genuine and likeable people I have been lucky enough to work with and it was such an honour to be able to tell the story of their amazing wedding day in London. Here are a few images from this international wedding.

Tips for Planning an Intimate Wedding

Planning a small wedding is a little different from a big one, but it can be just as amazing. Here are some tips to make it extra special:

1. Add Personal Touches

With fewer guests, you can focus on the little details. Write personal notes, pick out meaningful favours, or create a playlist of songs you and your loved ones adore.

2. Splurge on the Things You Love

Since you’re not hosting a huge crowd, you can spend more on things like a delicious meal, stunning flowers, or a photographer to capture every moment.

3. Choose a Unique Venue

Small weddings mean you can pick quirky or cosy places like art galleries, rooftops, or even a favourite café.

4. Keep It Relaxed

Smaller weddings are often less formal, so embrace the chill vibe. Think shared platters, fun games, or a casual drinks setup.

5. Make It About Your Guests

With just a few people, it’s easier to make everyone feel included. Spend time with each guest, and maybe even ask them to share a favourite memory or toast during the reception.

London is full of unique and amazing places to tie the knot. Whether you want something grand, quirky, or super chilled, there’s a spot that’s perfect for you.
