Indian weddings are always incredible so it was an absolute pleasure to travel to Pune, India to photograph Tom and Vanita’s hindu wedding.
Vanita had contacted me from India about flying over to photograph their wedding as a destination wedding photographer and it was one of those emails that just jumped off the page at me. I love photographing Indian weddings in London and I knew that a 4-part Indian wedding in India over 3-days was going to be amazing. I was completely blown away by just how amazing it was! Vanita's sister had co-ordinated the wedding and there were so many amazing touches over the 3-days.
The first part of the wedding took place at the 1 Lounge in Koreagon Park in Pune and this was followed by the Sangeet. The Mehendi Ceremony is where the ladies have henna applied to hands, arms and feet as well as lots of colourful bangles and bindis. Legend has it that the darker the henna dries, the more the girl is loved!
