Wedding Photography at Ashdown Park Hotel in East Sussex

Think that getting married and all that goes with it is quite enough for one day? Not Reene...she decided that getting married twice in one day was what she wanted, and she certainly did pull it off in style!

Rob and Reene's sunny outside wedding took place at the beautiful Ashdown Park in East Sussex. Ashdown Park is a luxury country house wedding set in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. The setting could not have been more perfect for a wedding in the sunshine, and the weather did not disappoint.

The day was made up of two parts. The first was the outdoor civil ceremony and reception, which was to be followed by the Ashdown Park Indian wedding ceremony in the afternoon. Here are a few images from this sunny wedding at Ashdown Park.

Weddings at Ashdown Park Hotel in Surrey

Ashdown Park Hotel is a fantastic place for weddings. It’s a huge, beautiful building with amazing gardens, a peaceful lake, and even a forest nearby. Located on the edge of Surrey, it’s perfect for couples who want a special and unforgettable day. Whether you’re planning a big celebration or a smaller gathering, this place has something for everyone.

I’ve photographed weddings at Ashdown Park, and it’s one of my favourite venues. The building looks like something out of a storybook, and the grounds are so big that there’s always a perfect spot for photos.

Where Is Ashdown Park Hotel?

Ashdown Park is near Forest Row, not far from Surrey, and is easy to get to. It’s about an hour’s drive from London and close to Gatwick Airport, which is handy if you’ve got family flying in. For those using public transport, East Grinstead train station is nearby, and taxis can get you the rest of the way. Plus, there’s lots of parking at the hotel if your guests are driving.

What Spaces Are Available for Weddings?

Ashdown Park has several amazing spaces where you can have your wedding, and each one is a little different. Here’s a quick look at what’s available:

The Richard Towneley Suite

• How many guests? Up to 150.

• What’s it like? This is a massive, beautiful chapel with stained-glass windows and high ceilings. It’s great for a big wedding and looks incredible in photos.

The Harry Clarke Suite

• How many guests? Up to 90.

• What’s it like? A bright room with big windows and a view of the gardens. It’s great for medium-sized weddings.

The Jacob Henniker Room

• How many guests? Up to 40.

• What’s it like? A smaller, cosy room that’s perfect for intimate weddings or dinners.

Outdoor Spaces

• What’s it like? If the weather’s good, you can get married outside on the lawn with the lake and trees around you. It feels magical, especially in the summer.

What About Food and Where Can Guests Stay?

Food

The hotel has its own chefs who are brilliant at making delicious food. You can choose from lots of different menu options, and they can change things around if you or your guests have allergies or special diets.

Guest Rooms

There are 106 bedrooms in the hotel, including fancy suites for the wedding couple. If your guests are staying overnight, they’ll love the comfy rooms and all the extra things to do, like visiting the spa or walking around the gardens.

Best Places for Wedding Photos at Ashdown Park

As a photographer, I can say that Ashdown Park is full of amazing places for photos. Here are my favourites:

• The Chapel: The stained-glass windows and high ceilings make it look incredible.

• The Gardens: Perfect for family and group photos with flowers and green lawns.

• The Lake: This is a lovely spot for romantic couple shots, especially at sunset.

• The Forest: If you want a natural and peaceful vibe, the nearby trees are amazing.

Ashdown Park Hotel is a brilliant choice for a wedding. It’s a mix of elegance, space, and natural beauty, and it’s perfect for creating lasting memories.
